90-Year-Old Veteran Left in Wheelchair After Botched Knee Surgery at Memorial Hermann

HOUSTON, Texas (TXAN 24) - A shocking interview led by Houston activist Quanell X has brought attention to a troubling case involving a 90-year-old military veteran who is now permanently handicapped following a routine knee replacement surgery at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

According to the veteran, the procedure was expected to improve his mobility. However, after the operation, it was discovered that the attending surgeon failed to reattach a key muscle in the veteran’s leg. As a result, the veteran has lost the ability to walk and now requires a wheelchair for daily mobility.

The case is raising serious concerns about surgical oversight and accountability within the hospital. The veteran, who had maintained a level of independence despite his age, now faces a drastically altered quality of life.

Quanell X is calling for transparency and justice in the case, as well as answers from Memorial Hermann about how such a critical mistake was allowed to occur. The interview has sparked growing outrage online and renewed discussion about medical errors and their impact on vulnerable patients, especially those who have served the country.
