Wings Roll Past Mystics for First Home Win of Season

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Dallas Wings finally broke through at home Sunday night, cruising to a dominant 92-69 victory over the Washington Mystics behind a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive effort.


Dallas controlled the game from the opening quarter and never looked back, forcing tough shots while shooting 47% from the field and 46% from three-point range.


Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers led the way with 18 points and seven assists, continuing her impressive sophomore campaign. Arike Ogunbowale added 16 points and three assists, while Jordin Canada Shepard dominated the glass with 16 rebounds to go along with 12 points and six assists.


The Wings bench also provided a major spark. Azzi Fudd scored 12 points in 24 minutes, while Maddy Siegrist chipped in 10 points and Aaliyah James added eight.


Dallas finished with 30 assists on 33 made field goals and committed just eight turnovers in one of its most complete performances of the young season.


The victory gives the Wings momentum heading into their next stretch of games as they continue building chemistry around one of the league’s youngest rosters.
