Neapolitan and Mango Named Texas’ Favorite Ice Cream Flavors This Summer

TEXAS (TXAN 24) — A new study by Fruity King reveals that Texans are craving Neapolitan and mango ice cream the most this summer, based on online search trends from July 2024 to June 2025.

Analyzing Google search data across all 50 states, the study ranked ice cream flavors by popularity using searches such as “[flavor] ice cream,” “how to make [flavor] ice cream,” and “[flavor] ice cream near me.”

In Texas, Neapolitan ice cream leads with 8,198 monthly searches, followed by mango with 6,707, and vanilla close behind at 6,533. Nationally, Neapolitan also took the crown as the most searched flavor, topping the charts in 20 states with an average of 79,985 monthly searches. Vanilla came in second nationwide with 74,018, while mango landed third with 57,747.

While classic flavors like vanilla remain a staple, the rising interest in tropical and multi-flavor options reflects a shift in summer preferences.

Other regional highlights include Superman ice cream dominating the Midwest and Ube leading in Hawaii.
