FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) - Major League Volleyball's newest expansion team will be calling the Dallas area home as the Pulse opened their season against the Indy Ignite on Saturday.

The Dallas Pulse saw a spectacular turnout from fans or the home opener which featured #1 draft pick and California native Mimi Colyer. Colyer is a 6' 3" outside hitter who played for the Wisconsin Badgers at the collegiate level.

The momentum of the crowd and some power hitting led the Dallas Pulse to win the first set of the contest, momentarily giving the stadium an air of pride. That is until the Indy Ignite proceeded to win the next three consecutive sets in front of the Comerica Center crowd.
The Dallas Pulse will take the court next against the San Diego Mojo on Thursday, January 15 at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas at 6pm.
