FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — Dallas Pulse rookie standout Mimi Colyer was named the 2026 MLV Outside Hitter of the Year on Wednesday after a historic season that established her as one of the league’s top offensive players.

Colyer, who also earned unanimous All-League First Team honors, became the first player in franchise history to win the award. The Lincoln, California native led Major League Volleyball in points, kills, points per set and kills per set while setting new single-season league records in all four categories.

The former Wisconsin star appeared in 27 matches this season and consistently delivered in key moments for Dallas. Her standout performances included a 32-point outing in Atlanta on March 26 and a career-high 30 kills against San Diego on April 24, tying for the second-most kills in a match in MLV history.

Dallas head coach Shannon Winzer praised Colyer’s impact throughout her rookie campaign.

“As a rookie and a first overall draft pick, Mimi rose to the top of the entire league,” Winzer said. “Mimi was a difference maker for our team and earned every bit of this recognition.”

The No. 2 Pulse will face the No. 3 San Diego Mojo in the MLV semifinals Thursday night at Comerica Center in Frisco.
