FT. WORTH, Texas (TXAN 24) -- The Conference's top seed, Memphis Tigers, were pushed to the limit in the quarterfinals against Wichita State. They now face a Tulane squad that is out for revenge from their earlier meeting this season.

Tulane has only lost one game in its last five contest, whereas Memphis is on a six-game winning streak.

Led by leading scorer PJ Haggerty, who exploded for 42 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, Memphis avoided an upset with an 83-80 win to reach this game.

The key to this contest will be whether Tulane can contain Memphis' high powered offense; if they fail to do so, this will be the conclusion of Tulane's season.
