Dallas Wings Win Final Game At College Park Center

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Dallas Wings closed the College Park Center chapter with a victory Saturday, defeating the Phoenix Mercury 87-82 in front of their home crowd.

The win gave Dallas its sixth straight victory and moved the Wings to 26-16 on the season. The game marked the 181st and final regular-season home game for the Wings at College Park Center before the franchise moves its home games to American Airlines Center.

Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 26 points, scoring 20 in the first half, while Arike Ogunbowale added 22 points and six assists. Bueckers also surpassed 1,500 career WNBA points during the game.

The Wings trailed 24-19 after the opening quarter but erupted for 37 points in the second to take a 56-49 halftime advantage.

Phoenix battled back throughout the second half, but Dallas made enough plays down the stretch to secure the win. Ogunbowale’s three-point play with 1:19 remaining pushed the Wings ahead 86-81 and helped seal the victory.

The Wings will now finish the regular season on the road against Phoenix on Monday before turning their attention toward the postseason.

College Park Center officially closes as the Wings’ regular-season home with Dallas leaving the building on a six-game winning streak.
