Dallas Trinity FC Stuns Chivas Femenil With Last-Minute Winner In State Fair Clásico

DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) — Dallas Trinity FC defeated Mexican powerhouse Chivas Guadalajara Femenil, 3-2, on Saturday before 15,326 fans at the Cotton Bowl Stadium, securing a dramatic victory in the 2026 State Fair Clásico.
The international friendly delivered five goals, including a stoppage-time winner that capped a memorable afternoon of women’s soccer at Fair Park.

Dallas took control in the first half when 15-year-old Kayia Brewer scored in the 30th minute off an assist from Drew Coomans. Brewer, the younger sister of Dallas defender Meila Brewer, scored in her first exhibition appearance for the club.
Juliet “LJ” Moore doubled the advantage in the 42nd minute, finishing a chance created by Kalea Eichenberger to send Dallas into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Chivas fought back after the break behind Alicia Cervantes, the Mexican club’s all-time leading scorer. Cervantes found the net in the 67th minute before scoring again in the 75th to level the match at 2-2.

With a penalty shootout looming if the teams remained tied after 90 minutes, Jasmine Hamid delivered the decisive moment. The Dallas forward scored in the second minute of stoppage time off an assist from Camryn Lancaster, sealing the 3-2 victory.
The exhibition result does not affect Dallas Trinity FC’s official Gainbridge Super League standings. The club improved to 1-1 all-time in State Fair Clásico competition.

Head coach Lee Nguyen said the atmosphere and competition provided a valuable confidence boost as Dallas looks toward the postseason.
The match also marked the first time the State Fair Clásico featured five combined goals. Walmart served as the presenting partner of the Trinity Star trophy, awarded as part of the event celebrating soccer, community and competition in North Texas.
