FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — North Texas is set to take center stage in professional volleyball this spring.
Major League Volleyball announced that Comerica Center will host the 2026 MLV Championship, bringing the league’s biggest matches to Frisco on May 7 and May 9.
The postseason will feature two semifinal matches on Thursday, followed by the highly anticipated “Match For A Million” on Saturday. The championship match carries the richest prize in American professional volleyball — a $1 million bonus awarded to the winning team and distributed among its roster.
All three matches will air nationally on ION through MLV’s partnership with Scripps Sports, delivering the championship to households across the country via over-the-air and major streaming platforms.
League officials cited the strength of volleyball across North Texas as a key factor in awarding the event to Frisco. The venue is also home to the Dallas Pulse, along with offices for the Dallas Stars and the Texas Legends.
Comerica Center seats up to 6,000 fans and recently completed a major renovation in 2023, upgrading video boards, sound systems, and fan amenities.
Ticket details for the championship will be announced soon.
For North Texas volleyball fans, the road to a million dollars now runs straight through Frisco.
