TEXAS (TXAN 24) — Texas talent will be on full display across college football tonight, with 66 players from the Lone Star State suiting up in three Division I games.

  • The spotlight kicks off in Las Cruces, where 20 Texas natives will take the field for New Mexico State as they battle Liberty, which features 5 Texans of its own.

  • Down south, the Arkansas State Red Wolves continue their strong Texas recruiting tradition with 22 players from the state, while South Alabama adds 5 more to the total in their Sun Belt showdown.

  • And in the nightcap, Western Kentucky and FIU will bring another 14 Texas players combined, 10 for WKU and 4 for FIU, making tonight a full display of Lone Star football influence from top to bottom.

In total, that’s 66 Texans representing their home state across three games, proving again that no matter where college football is played, Texas always shows up on the field.
