FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — Tyler’s own Katelyn Sepmoree will make history this week as she hits the opening tee shot at the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.
Sepmoree, a PGA Assistant Professional at Willow Brook Country Club, was selected as one of just 10 PGA and LPGA Golf Professionals from around the country to be part of the Corebridge Financial Team — a program giving top teaching pros the chance to fulfill a dream by competing on a major championship stage.
The tee time is set for 7 a.m. Thursday morning on the 1st Tee. Sepmoree will launch one of the most prestigious events in women’s golf, sharing the course with many of the sport’s biggest names.
Originally from Texas and now a standout at Willow Brook in Tyler, Sepmoree’s selection highlights not only her skill and professionalism, but also puts East Texas golf firmly in the national spotlight.
TXAN 24 News will have continuing coverage from Frisco throughout the tournament weekend.
