Big 12 Baseball Championship Set for Globe Life Field in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship is set to take place May 21–24 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This marks the fourth consecutive year the event will be held at the home of the Texas Rangers — making the Big 12 the only conference to host its tournament in a Major League stadium with a retractable roof.

This year’s tournament brings a major format change to accommodate the league’s expansion to 14 teams. The top 12 teams in the regular season standings will qualify, with the top four seeds earning first-round byes. Seeds 5 through 12 will face off in the opening round on May 21, followed by quarterfinals on May 22, semifinals on May 23, and the championship game on May 24. Unlike previous years, this edition will use a single-elimination format throughout.

The tournament champion will earn the Big 12’s automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

Games will be broadcast across ESPN platforms, with early-round games airing on ESPN+ and ESPNU. The championship game is scheduled to air live on ESPNU.

Tickets are available now through Globe Life Field’s official website, and fans attending can expect a climate-controlled, first-class baseball experience.

TXAN 24 News will either provide on-site or remote coverage throughout the tournament.
